Inverness Farms Entrance

At Inverness Farms, it is our objective to provide your horse with the safest and healthiest possible living conditions and the highest standard of care.  We have an 8-stall barn located on 23 acres of beautiful, gently rolling land.  Our facility is small enough to offer each boarder personalized care for his or her horse.   

Inverness Farms offers full board only (no pasture board available); full board includes the following: 

Stalls

bulletStalls are cleaned daily, with fresh shavings typically added every 1-2 days
bulletStall water buckets are cleaned and refilled daily

Feed/Supplements

bulletHorses receive grain 2X/day, morning and evening; amount determined by the boarder
bullet Supplements provided by the boarder will be added to grain at no additional charge
bulletDaily wormer (Strongid-C) is provided by Inverness Farms at no additional charge
bulletPeriodic wormer (Ivermectin every 6 months) is administered by Inverness Farms, with the cost of the wormer charged to the boarder
bulletHay is provided while the horse is in his stall; amount determined by the boarder
bullet Supplemental hay is put out in the pastures, as needed based on pasture grass conditions

Turn-out

bulletWeather permitting, horses are turned out a minimum of 12 hours a day year-round
bulletBlanketing at temperatures determined by boarder will be provided at an additional charge of $20/month

 Farrier/Medical

bulletThere is no additional charge for bringing your horse in or holding him for regular farrier service with our barn farrier; boarders are welcome to make arrangements for their own farrier if they prefer
bulletAny necessary medical treatments (e.g. cold-hosing, IM shots) can be provided by Inverness Farms with the boarder’s authorization and at an agreed-upon additional charge

 Miscellaneous

bulletHorses are checked out thoroughly when they are brought in from the pastures and when in their stalls for any signs of injury or illness
bulletOptional daily hoof pick can be provided at a charge of $30/month

 Board Rates

bullet$400 per month, for the horse care as detailed above
bulletAn incremental $90 mandatory up-front monthly lesson/training fee.  This pre-paid fee can be applied, at the boarder’s discretion, to:
bulletriding lessons on your horse for yourself or a family member,
bulletriding lessons on one of our school horses for yourself or a family member, or
bulleta professional training ride on your horse 
bulletInverness farms will provide detailed invoices to the boarder each month, with any additional lessons and training rides over and above the pre-paid lesson/training fee to be billed to the boarder at the end of each month.
